HOW TO START YOUR MORNING

Starting your morning in a healthy way gives you a happy day or a good ending. Developing healthy routines and habit changes your life for better. So, here is how you begin your morning. WAKE UP EARLY  You feel so happy and better when you wake up early and do things early. I can't overemphasize the benefits of this. You get to see things yourself when you make waking up early a habit.  MEDITATE AND PRAY Early morning meditation and prayers relaxes and clears your mind and even changes your mood for the new day. When you make it a habit, it stays with you. MAKE YOUR BED When you wake up, make your bed. Making your bed neat and tidy clears your mind and prepares your day. It gives a good mental state. Each time I make my bed, I feel so positive and productive through out the day. DO CHORES Wash the dishes, mop the floor, clean the toilet, wash your clothes and keep your environment and surroundings clean. Doing this will make your day a happy one. Holistic Health and Healing

I have always thought that the human pains and sicknesses were only physical where you get sick and symptoms are treated, never did I know that there is holistic healing. All round healing. Physical, spiritual, social, mental and emotional. And this works so well for sicknesses that can't be diagnosed. Observing healthy spiritual practices, meditating, engaging in social activities, observing nature, getting massage, getting enough sleep and rest, eating good organic food and balanced diet and avoiding toxic lifestyle leads to healing. And showing gratitude to God, the universe or whatever you believe in. These acts reduce stress, pains and aches. It makes you comfortable in your pains. It gives inner peace and happiness. I can't even compare the happiness that goes with these acts. Also, I practice contentment. Being grateful and satisfied with the little I have. Buying or getting just what I need. IT'S BETTER NOW WITH MEDITATION

I remember the constant headaches and migraine, heavy chest, sleepless nights. I could feel my heart drumming so fast and my body trembling. I fell ill and no hospital could diagnose my illness. I spent so much money on drugs and medication but at the end, no drugs could heal my anxiety disorder until I discovered meditation. I actually read meditation on Facebook. I saw a lot people talking about it and how useful it was in their daily lives until I started practicing mine. Now I watch on YouTube and subscribe to channels that are transformational. Through meditation I have found comfort in my pains and everything that ever happened to me. It gave me peace, solace and happiness. I have found peace in living in the present, not doing or rushing anything but just living. I have said no to materialism and what people feel are the definition of success and happiness. So it's been four months since I started working in a school in Calabar that has forty years of existence. A really old school whose facilities need maintenance. Chairs damaged, laboratory decay and everything in there looks so old. Then I wondered, what am I doing here? And I realized that I needed experience. I wanted to leave home so long as it is for learning. I learned. I saw how mismanagement can cause serious damage to a school. I saw how not treating teachers well or paying them on time could be a danger to school business. Especially changing teachers every time in school or teachers leaving a school due to ill treatment.  By loving yourself, you love others. When you love yourself, it becomes so easy to love others. It becomes easy to love your staff and pay them on time. It becomes so easy to treat people well. Elizabeth Diaries ❤️

NOT RUSHING ANYTHING

Everything can make a story. It surely can. But it is surprising how we write others and not ourselves. We tell stories of legends, celebrity, politicians but not ours. We see our lives boring to be in blogs or make a news. People hardly talk about their homes, their pains and how living a day on earth feels like. We are very much interested in the stories of others. Writing about my life is nothing boring to me. In fact, I had many encounters where people asked me why I put so much of my personal life in people's eyes. And what is so important or special about my life to be told. I may be special, I may not be special but people can't just wake up one day and start writing about their lives. They definitely have a purpose for doing that. IT PAYS TO STAY WITH NATURE

Yesterday I felt so good cleaning my dogs' apartment. Dogs are lovely pet to live with. So I enjoy nature so much. I enjoy the cool breeze of the morning. I feel it on my body, face and anywhere exposed to it. Morning air and the sun feel so refreshing. Waking up in the morning and having a slow and conscious walk without rushing out for anything helps me release toxic energies. It gives me a good day. Nature is life and as humans we have really ignored it.  Staying outside and just observing everything is healing. Relaxing to nature, observing rest and slow living without rushing to go to school, get a career, be a good employee is so peaceful. It's satisfying living in the present. DEDICATING TIME FOR SELF-CARE

Have your me time where you rest and take care of yourself. Have time for a hobby or hobbies. Put your energy and passion into something. Something you truly love. Something that has nothing to do with your 9-5 job, work or business. Have time for doing house chores; cleaning, washing, sweeping and the rest. Make time to read. Pick up some good books, self-help books and read. Get aware and informed. Meditate and undergo healthy routine or spiritual practices. Avoid certain lifestyle you know leads to destruction. Stop abuse and respect humans at home and in public. Even if they have nothing to offer you. Have a break. Sleep and rest. Eat good food too. Everything will make so much sense when you start making time for yourself. When you become conscious of your environment, your health and everything around you. You feel so much peace when you let go off noise and toxicity. You feel so much calmness in you when you do the right things and stay with the right people. Stay humb

Everyday Gratitude

Today I am grateful for life. I went to shopping, deposited money into my savings account and I came back home washing all my dirty clothes. Then I rested. I bought bathing soap, toothpaste, Vaseline and I added a bit of vitamin E to it. I am told vitamin E clears skin. I got fruits too; Watermelon, banana, pineapple and groundnut. It feels good enjoying the money I worked hard for. And yes, I bought data bundles too. And I wrote down all expenditure into my handy journal to keep track of my finance and how I spend money. I GOT SHOCKED

For the first time I saw 267 views on my blog yesterday. I got shocked. I thought of what probably happened that I got 267 views by United States, then I surf the internet and discovered that Nigerians have been banned on Twitter. Feeling so sad now. My greatest readers were from Twitter and now I am so going to miss all of them. I can't log in Twitter, I can't even share a post. I hope everything gets better.  Elizabeth Diaries ❤️

Everyday Gratitude

Today, I am so happy. I just got paid. I got paid my salary. My third time of getting paid for a job, not as a Corper but as a worker. I promised to save 5% of my salary every month. It feels good working for your money. It feels good leaving the house every day. Work is power. Money is power. I had chose taking a paid job even if the pay is small, starting from somewhere rather than staying all day at home idle, looking for trouble or probably gossiping with the neighbors. So from 7:00 am, I leave for work then go back home by 3:00pm, everyday except on weekends. And when I am at home, I engage myself in work and hobbies. I use my free time to write and create content. Still on the issue of getting a school closed to home, I really need to check schools close to home because I spend so much money on transportation. A month I spend more than 8k on transportation which is so draining. I need a school close to home as soon as possible. And I also have to take care of myself too. So, righ

Everyday Gratitude

Today I thank God for life, for peace and happiness. I am living at the moment, enjoying my life, meditating and praying, resting, relaxing and taking care of myself.
