So grateful to Dr. Thema

Image
I won't fail to acknowledge Dr. Thema in my Diary. I love her. I love how she does her work passionately at Twitter. She saves life. And she has saved mine. Everyday, early in the morning I log on Twitter to go read what she has to say for the day. Since the day I discovered her page and followed her, I was glad I did. She talks to us in ways we understand. She mends our heart, minds and soul. So, today I give her a special place in my Diary. I found a safe space in her. Her words soothes my broken heart.  Elizabeth Diaries ❤️

Bauchi was brief and wonderful

Dear Diary, Wednesday, 3rd March 2021 5:50pm Nigerian Time 🇳🇬 March, my month. On the first day of March, I left Bauchi State for Abuja. I slept over at a hotel in Abuja. My very first time of spending the night at a hotel. Just me in the room, lonely and afraid. I was scared of many things. The things I hear happen in Nigerian hotel rooms. I actually booked a flight, but my flight was postponed so I had to take road transportation. Bauchi to Abuja took a period of six hours. From Bauchi, to Jos, to kaduna, to Nassawara and then to Abuja. The next day I took road transportation from Abuja to Calabar which took a period of eleven hours. I felt so uncomfortable with the many bad roads at the various state during the journey. So hectic. I reached my home on the second day of March around 9:50pm in the evening. I had my bath, then ate thereafter. During my stay in Bauchi, I was fortunate to meet wonderful set of individuals who served as a family. It was a wonderful experience, thou...

Gratitude Day 9/24

Dear Diary, Tuesday, 23rd February 2021 3:03pm Nigerian Time Today, I thank God for my writing skill. My life have had a meaning through writing. I began writing on Facebook then to blogger and back to Facebook. In 2015, I started blogging with a subdomain on blogger. I blog about my pains and passion until one day I forgot my then Gmail password, I couldn't log in anymore, then I called it quit. Writing has really transformed my life. I have built a little part of my life through writing. I have healed through writing. I have discovered myself and purpose through writing. My self-care and love was through writing. I have been judged and condemned but I write still because I know my healing lays there.

Gratitude Day 8/24

Image
Dear Diary, Thursday, 18th February 2021 1: 48pm Nigerian Time Today I am utmost grateful to God for keeping me alive to witness my POP(Passing out parade) even though the parade wasn't observed due to wide spread of the pandemic. It is a thing of joy for me to pass out alongside my colleagues. I came, I saw and I conquered. It was a little stay, but today it seems like three years already in Bauchi State. I have a lot of good memories and wonderful stories to tell. Today is no such day. I am grateful for this opportunity of serving my father land. Long live NYSC! Long live Bauchi State! Long live Nigeria! Long live Elizabeth Diaries! ❤️

Gratitude Day 7/24

Dear Diary, Thursday, 11th February 2021 6:31pm Nigerian Time Today I am grateful for the present. I am grateful for now. I am grateful for who I am now and what my life turns out to be. I am grateful for love. The only thing that saves us from an insane and unsafe world. I am grateful for self-care. Self-care days are happy days. Days of rest, sleep and relaxation. Today, I have nothing to be grateful for, but to be thankful for the present and life in the present. Elizabeth Diaries ❤️

Gratitude Day 5/24

Image
Dear Diary, Thursday, 4th February 2021 12:37pm (Nigerian Time) Today I am grateful for peace. Since I began loving myself and showing myself compassion, I have known peace. Inner peace, the peace of mind that can't be bought with money. I have known calmness too. Today, I and my Community Development Service group (CDS) went on a tour to a school. We created awareness and orientation of FCCPC and consumers' right. Below are the photographs.  Elizabeth Diaries ❤️
